“This is a great restaurant if you're tired of the 'combo 1-2-3' places.”
“The service is always fast and friendly.”
“And the price is more than a great value for what you're getting.”
Fresh, hot, delicious. This place is marvolous! I am very picky about where I dine-I do not like mass produced frozen meals! I eat here frequently since I found it about a year ago. The food is always very fresh and hot. I
Great for North American-Mexican Fusion, but that's it.
First off, let me say right now that I can't stand fusion cuisine of any kind. Many people in Tucker rave about Los Hermanos because their food is good, for fusion, but it is by no stretch of the imagination Mexican food.
Los Hermanos does use fresh ingredients, and their dishes are well presented for a small restaurant in a strip mall. Many of my friends love this place, but I haven't really found one entree that I can get through here without giving up and pushing my plate away -- again because I don't care for fusion cuisine. If you like Mexican fusion, you will love this place.
If you want authentic Mexican food, look elsewhere.
Muy Bien!. This is the best Mexican in town, hands down! The food is fresh and always very tasty. I have not had a bad experience here even once and I have been going here for years!
Avoid take-out if you have a food allergy or just want your order correct. Take out orders have been filled incorrectly too many times to go back for take out. Menu is creative for a strip mall but do not order take out unless you don't care what they put in your order. They mix things up like giving you extra of an ingredient you want omitted, omit what you ask for, leave out the extra sides and charge you and even mix up steak and chicken. If you have a food allergy or just want what you pay for, avoid take out and dine- in instead so you can send it back if they get it wrong. Will say I will miss their food but not their accuracy because we will never go back there again. Too many other places get it right, like Sangria's in Tucker and El Tesoro in Decatur.
Do Yourself a Favor and Eat Here ASAP. This is by far the best Mexican restaraunt I have EVER been to. The salsa is fresh and the tacos are delicious. I always get the tacos pastor (pork) and the philly tacos (steak, onions, mushrooms, and cream sauce), but everything here is good. Both the tortilla soup and the shrimp soup are to die for. You must try the Tres Leches for dessert I want it for my wedding cake one day...it is that good!!! It is the most moist cake you will ever put in your mouth and it is topped with fresh fruit. I wasn't even a big fan of Mexican food before I discovered this place. Now, when I have cravings, I crave this place.
Best Mexican in Atlanta!. My wife and I frequent Taueria Los Hermanos, or "the Hermans" as I like to call it. It has hands down the best mexican food I have ever had. It isn't one of those order by number mexican places where the food comes out in 2 minutes because the microwaved. No, this place is different, they actually cook the food and all of it great! I would recommend all of the tacos. As for entrees you can't beat the Shrimp and Crawfish enchlidas!
Refreshing take on Mexican - great food!. The mole (mo-lay, not mole!) was good and the shrimp quesedillas (sp?) were awesome. Well worth the drive!
Raises my expectations of Mexican food in the Atlanta area.
As someone with a multitude of culinary exploits in Arizona, Southern California, and Mexico, I was initially skeptical that I could find anything outside of the Buford Hwy. corridor that was comparable in term of authentic Mexican cuisine and dished out at a reasonable price in the metro Atlanta area.
Well, Taqueria Los Hermanos quells my doubts while at the same time raising my expectations of Mexican food in the Atlanta area; not to mention the atmosphere is a tad more refined and enjoyable than what can be found on Buford Hwy-- thankfully without sacrificing any authenticity.
The tilapia fish tacos with banana peppers are as good as the anything you will find on the Baja coast, the sauce a real nice meld of spices. The Asada (beef for the gringos) tacos too, are excellent; always nicely cut strips of beef in a nicely warmed flour tortilla. And if you go a night the dinner specials are always excellent, the grilled shrimp dish is fantastic, and leave room for dessert. The bread pudding with a snippet of tequila is a winning way to cap the night off. Or you can toss another Negro Modelo down the pipe and feel good all over. No hard stuff, so no margaritas, but still this place is worth making a drive to eat at.
Yes, it is that good.
Three brothers offer better than average, gringo-friendly Mexican food and have a way with seafood..
In Short
The initial location in what is now a triad of outstanding Mexican restaurants, this Tucker standout boasts a bright, sunny vibe and quick service. The smoky salsa and chunky guacamole are good starters, but the real stars are the fish tacos, griddled, full-bodied tortillas stuffed with lightly battered tiliapia, jalapeno tartar sauce and roasted banana pepper onion escabeche. They make Taqueria del Sol's fish tacos look down right elementary. A far cry from a combination dinner, entrees are served with sides like roasted potatoes or garlic-heavy spinach, while beef brisket tastes like Mexican barbecue you never knew existed. Close the meal out with a slice of tres leches, a light and creamy cake that fools you into eating more than you should.
