The Scene
This rustic Decatur Square store is both a flower shop and folk art emporium. Customers, no doubt influenced by the shop's Mom-and-Pop atmosphere, casually mill about the tables and antique cabinets cluttered with eclectic crafts. You'll often catch laid-back staffers chatting with locals coming in for bouquets of fresh cut flowers or housewarming gifts.
The Goods
Folk art from local artists is scattered throughout the shop as are gifts such as rustic picture frames, decorative message boards and toys for kids. The store also offers a limited--but very nice--selection of fresh cut flowers for sale.

Wow, this store USED to be a gem! The new ownership has really caused a downswing in what used to be an adorable and eclectic store. Now, it is drab, with crabby employees and a dour, sour, and overwhelmed looking store owner to over see them all. Beyond the boring atmosphere ( no music and just plain uninviting!) the merchandise is nothing new. Some of the art is interesting, but certainly not worth what the're asking for. It's time for those roots to be pulled up and something new planted in it's place!
Pros: Lots of other cool things to do
Cons: Parking is a nightmare

Square Roots is an excellent source of folk art by local artists. They also have great gifts for any occasion and the fresh flowers are a bonus!
