Ted's (Where's the beef?).
Visited a few times because it was near work. Never found it outstanding! 1st time was greeted by the server with "Welcome to Ted's...you're about to experience something special." Talk about creating unreasonable expectations? The last experience was a BLUE PLATE pork chop lunch special. Dry, undersized, and piled on mashed potatoes...totally bland, uninspired, and overpriced (11.99$.) Looked like a home economics project gone bad. Complained to the server, and she thought I was kidding...giggled, and returned w/ the check. I've heard Ted is a picky guy...he should visit this place. Stick w/ the menu items, and don't get a giggly cheerleader for a server. Nice bathrooms!

Families and large groups feast on hearty cuts and comfort food at this Rocky-Mountain style steakhouse..
In Short
Lots of mahogany, tin ceilings, metal crown molding and Arts and Crafts-style décor prevail at this casual, comfortable saloon, part of media mogul Ted Turner's domain. Beef and bison are king, and they're hand-cut on site. Other bites include beer-can chicken, bison prime rib and cedar planked salmon. For dessert, there's home-made cookies, Kahlua fudge brownies, Coke floats and strawberry shortcake.

Seated next to the restroom & waiters station! Poor planning.
HAving a night alone without kids was going to be a treat. My husband & I wanted a quick bite at Ted's Montana Grill. After waiting over 45 minutes for a table we were led to a booth in the back of the restaurant next to the restroom & across from the waiters station. When I refused the table, the host seating us told us if we didn't like it too bad, there wouldn't be another table. We walked out....and will never return. If someone has to sit there at least shield it from view. I didn't want to watch people going in and out of the restroom all evening. Not a memorable dining experience.

Not worth the buzz.
I was visiting Atlanta and this was on my list to try after all the rave reviews and I was very very disappointed. I had ordered the bison filet and it was the most bland steaks I have ever had they kept saying that seasonings are not needed well it needed something, Outback tastes better. Other dishes my dining mates were not so good were the bison burger, pecan crusted halibut was bland (she was vegetarian), fries were soggy, roasted chicken were so so, the kids had watered down mac n cheese and surprisingly the kids' salmon was not that bad (better than what the adults ate). The onion rings were ordinary. Try Boi the Brazilian Churrascaria, they have better meats. Oh and what's up with the no bread and butter????? Not worth the try although the place looked cool.

Best Buger in town, beef or buffalo.
Best Buger in town, beef or buffalo! The borax soap in the bathroom is cool. Old West Ambience is great, really cool bar. Blue plate specials are superb, try the meatloaf. Salt & Pepper onion rings are the best this side of the Varsity.

Hawaiian review a "winna" (winner)....
Being from Hawaii...I was truly impressed with the Domenico Ribeye beef that I
ordered and enjoyed at Ted's. This being my first dining experience at Ted's...and
my first trip to Aberdeen Ga., I could not help, but to frequent this restaurant 3 times
during a ten day period. It would have been more, but I was busy working also.
I will be back there in June 06, and will at least go back there another 3 - 4 times...The
service was great, employees cordial and friendly...Looking forward to returning...

Top Notch.
This place had the juiciest thickest burgers! I tried their buffalo burger and this was the best burger I ever put in my mouth!

The Bomb Burger.
If you are a connoisseur of quality ground beef on a fresh bun-- and generously prepared, then this is the burger for you. It was the best I've had in years! Fresh-cut fries are a great change of pace. I will respond in advance to potential whiners-- fresh-cut are not particularly crispy, as any In-n-Out patron can tell you. Try them with some of Ted's excellent ranch dressing. Skip the bar on the way out though; they served me the most expensive miniature Long Island ever. Enjoy!

Severely disappointed.
After calling the restaurant and asking if they could handle a party of 10 and waiting an hour and a half, half of our party was seated at one table and the other half at another table. The food served was not what we ordered and cold, the dishes were dirty, and one of the party had to wait 20 minutes for her meal after the rest of us were served. The waitress offered a free dessert and she decided we would all get half of a chocolate chip cookie.

Yum!.
The restaurant seems to be improving over time. The food is good, the fries must be Turner's interpretation, because I've never found them anything but slightly soggy, despite being freshly hand cut . . .
