In Short – Strangely located near the train tracks on Atlanta Rd, a little piece of France seems to be airlifted and plunked down in this suburb. While Douceur’s lack of refinement and small menu is not necessarily what the French are known for, the bakery portion of the restaurant comes damn near close to the fresh breads, pastries, madeleines, and coffees that Paris boasts. Lunch is the best time to visit. Fantastic

This bakery makes the best pastries I have had, and I have been to bakeries all over the U.S. The chocolate tarte, and the fruit tarte are my personal favorites. But, eveything from the brioche to the chocolate logs are exquisite. The owners are also very nice, as are the rest of the staff. I highly, highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fantastic, authentic french pastry.

I think that Douceur de France is one of the best bakeries in the neighborhood (and probably Metro Atlanta!). Living in Marietta for many years I did not hear about this lovely and very European cafe until now. Cafe food is absolutely amazing; it is very delicious, flavorful, and satisfying. It absolutely makes you want to come back for more. Also, the cafe has a large selection of decadent and wonderful cakes and their pastries and baguettes are an absolutely amazing addition to any breakfast!

A taste of France

We took our French foreign exchange student for lunch and she loved it. Even the American employees spoke in French to her. The food is delicious and the pastries are beautiful. If only there had been more seating.

Dont skip the madeleines--spongy, shell-shaped lemon touched cookie/pastries that loosely crumble when you bite them.
