The Scene
Rich wood and ochre walls draw you into a calming dining room and away from the frenzied strip mall surroundings. An army of servers delivers assistance and food at your leisure. The combination of elegant surroundings and dependable service lures a crowd of regulars that keep the restaurant consistently busy.
The Food
For starters, go Thai with the tender basil rolls. A Malaysian appetizer, roti canai--a pancake dipped in curry--lacks flavor. Both the Malaysian buah mango chicken--served in mango halves--and the Malaysian pineapple prawn--immense shrimp served in a pineapple--impress with presentation and novelty, but Thai fans may be turned off by the sweetness. The deep-fried, soft-shelled crab in a spicy Thai curry paste offers a tangy treat with a side of crisp asparagus. Four ice cream choices--coconut, green tea, vanilla and mango--make dessert as difficult a decision as the entree selection.

My husband and I have eaten at Top Spice on several occasions. We love thier Shrimp pineapple fried rice, and most of the seafood dishes, (some can be rather spicy) and the beef satays. Great customer service. Most dishes at Top Spice are reasonably priced.

Top Spice is dark lit and spacious. The decorations in there are unique from most of the other restaurants because they are jars of spices and the spices are also carved into the table. The food here is ok also. Very American like but I did enjoy their pad thai. The serving size of the dinner portions were a bit small for being a pricey dinner entree.

I love Top Spice and I go there often for lunch. It is a great place to bring people because it has been very consistant, in my experience. I love the Tom Ka soup! In addition, the staff is attentive and professional. Calm lunchtime oasis.
