The Scene
Located in downtown Decatur, Noodle is a magnet for a crowd that is young, energetic and mostly local. A glass front opens onto artfully painted cement floors, sleek furniture and clean architectural lines. Low lighting supplies ambience, but the noisy room will keep away those in search of a romantic evening.
The Food
Noodle specializes in large portions, handsomely presented. Reliable, Americanized flavors usually aren't far behind. Be sure to come with an appetite: The Crazy Lamb Mu Shu Wrap, a starter, is a meal on its own. A plate of intensely flavored beef curry rolls works far better than Noodle's lifeless steamed dumplings. If you've still got room for dinner, try the marinated Asian pork served with gently sauteed snow peas and carrots, or the Long Live Noodle with lobster--soft noodles laced with red peppers, peas and onions and topped with tender chunks of steamed lobster.

I visit friends in Georgia one or twice a year and going to Noodle at least once is always on the list of things to do. Favorite appetizer shrimp basil rolls. Choosing a noodle bowl is hard but the Lenny's Special is pretty hard to beat. Great food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices.

Noodle's Hot and Sour soup is divine. Perfect for a cold, rainy day or when you're sick or when it's springtime or when the moon's full - perfect any time! Take-out is quick and easy and so inexpensive.

I have eaten out 3-5x a week and this is the first time I have gotten sick in an Atlanta restaurant in 15 years. It was either the mediocre hot and sour soup or the mu shu that gave me a 12-hour case of the trots. In any case, the very rude owner, Lenny, refused to refund the lousy $22 I spent int he restaurant on contaminated food (I tipped the waitress). This explains why the Midtown locale is like a ghostown....smart diners eat elsewhere! Go to Buford Highway where the food is clean, fresh, delicious and will not make you sick!
