My favorite of all the Buckhead Life joints. Kyma's meze ( appetizers) feature favorites like humus & pita and stuffed grape leaves. Pricey but good.

Great Food, Excellent Service. Upon my first visit to Kyma, I can honestly say, it was a really good experience. My date and I were glad we tried the appetizers, even though, to me, they didn't sound very appealing (I can be a bit too close minded with new food sometimes). The main courses were great. The Arcadian red fish was excellent, and overall, the server and host were both very attentive. The only reason I give this a 4/5 is the parking there is a bit of a pain. Go with the valet, it's easiest.

unique greek won't disappoint. Tried Kyma during Buckhead Restaurant week and was able to experience the hype. Delicious, quality seafood uniquely prepared- yummy. The frothy sauce enhances the tender and extremely tasteful salmon and halibut that melts in the mouth. The presentation was great. Everything from the apps to the entrees were excellent as are the appropriately proportioned desserts. Come for the food and come for the crowd. Great for people watching. Decor is over the top, Vegas/Disney does Greek. Service is very slow. Be prepared to wait.

Quite a surprise. this is a nice, classy restaurant.the staff is verrrrry polite and provide great service. the food is a little pricy based on the portion, but I've seen worse.I was able to spend $50 and dine for two... the food is very well spiced. it is a Greek restaurant so therefore it is light yet satisfying... I would come back. it's nice to come here on a nice evening for a date or for you and your trendy friends to come to!

Nice place. I really like the host and his manner to greet customers - he is really genuine and clearly does it not just for money but also enjoys what he is doing.

Excellent anniversary dinner. Arrived at 8pm on Saturday night, with reservation and were immediately seated. The restaurant was not particularly full, which is surely the result of the depressed economic situation. We were confronted with the dreaded 'have you been here before' question and answered No (true), but indicated that we were familiar with Greek cuisine. I certainly would say that the wait staff here are quite familiar with the food, and very eager to offer opinions. We tried to gently indicate that we preferred to study the menu and make our own choices, and met with some success. Waitperson went away to get our drinks, and we examined the menu, very quickly determining that we wanted the mezze dinner with the 'special fish', as they had Pompano on the menu.

Waiter returned, and we choose the country greek salad, the zucchini with greek cheese, the mixed seafood stew, and the lamb pie, to go with our pompano & greek fries. We contemplated the wine list for a while, and choose a 2007 voigner wine and really enjoyed it.

Before our own selections began to arrive, the waiter bought out a small bite 'from the chef' - a wonderful little swordfish carpaccio, just a few bites, but clean, crisp flavor seasoned perfectly with a bit of crunch from what looked like fried rice noodles or vermicelli underneath. YUM! Things were definitely off to a great start.

Every morsel was wonderful. We let our waiter, who was anxious about the lamb pie's potential to muddle up the seafood flavors, determine the order of serving, and he did a great job, although in hindsight I'd probably change things up just a bit, and have the salad first, alongside the pita and dips.

We enjoyed the complimentary pita and spreads, and next slurped up every bit of the fish stew - the flavors were balanced wonderfully and you could taste the different bits of fish, mussels, clams, shrimp, etc. The zucchini were delicately fried and delicious to have alongside. Next came the greek salad, full of juicy tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and peppers. Yummy, and a great way to clear our tastebuds for the light and delicate grilled pompano. In retrospect, the greek fries were just a bit too much food, but delicious as well.

The waiter choose to save the lamb pie for last, and it was spectacular. Wonderful, deep lamb flavor, and melt-in-your mouth texture.

After all that, you'd think we wouldn't have room for dessert, but hey, this was our anniversary, so we went for it. I ordered the tasting sampler with yogurt & honey, the greek doughnut, and a custardy thing, and husband had the night's special, a banana/chocolate mousse thing. He ate every scrap of the banana/chocolate thingy, and I left very little on my plate as well. The custardy thing was unremarkable, but I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I tasted the yogurt and honey, but realized I couldn't be dead after I had a bite of that little, *perfect* doughnut. Very small servings (and all that I wanted - no guilt over not finishing a dessert!), but super-intense flavors. It was just exactly the right ending for a wonderful meal, and incredibly, the waiter told us that the restaurant was comping our dessert as an anniversary present.

Yes, it was pricey (but considering what we got, I feel we *more* than got our money's worth). Drinks, wine, and what amounted to a 7-course meal for two at this level of quality were WELL under $100 per person with tip.

The decor was beautiful, and did indeed remind us of a little place we had lunch at Delphi on our honeymoon 16 years ago, with the gauzy white curtains, blue accents, plastered walls - cleaner, but very reminiscent.

We did not leave in the least bit hungry - in fact, we practically had to roll out the door.

We will return often for our special occasions, and I'll happily recommend Kyma to those who have adventurous palates.

Over Priced Mediocre Food. Me and my friends were excited about spending an evening in buckhead, being that we work in the restaurant business as well. We showed up at kyma around 7:30, and heres were the night went down hill. First of all the hostess couldnt be bothered to recognize our presence, so we made our way to the bar. The drinks were over priced and service was not friendly. First we ordered some shrimp in tomato sauce, it was bland an cold. Ive heard this chef is supposed to be on of the best in atlanta...Then we ordered the pan fried cheese, there was so much lemon on it , it was inedible. the we ordered some lamb chops, again cold and unseasoned. over all the service was bad, the food sucked, and i am now 65 dollars poorer and unsatisfied. i will never eat at this place again, they should be emberrased to charge so much for crappy food....landmark diner down the street was better.
