Boasting brick walls, a centerpiece bar and crisp white table linens, this intimate eatery is the epitome of Inman Park’s renowned fine dining scene. In short, it’s high end (in both food and environment) but isn’t stuffy. Chef-owner Jason Hill's Southern-influenced menu revolves seasonally and features the kind of dressed-up comfort food you wish your mama had made. Lump crab cakes are beautifully paired with a lively corn succotash while scallops sit atop a bed of pork belly, sauced in a barbecue-like bourbon drizzle. Many entrees, such as grilled beef tenderloin with cheddar and a…

To much hype!

by owenalpha at Citysearch

Having just moved to Alpharetta from Houston, we were excited to enjoy some holiday time off and dine in the city. After reading such glowing reviews our choice for Wisteria seemed all to easy...

First, finding the place was a little difficult. I get it, use GPS, no problem. Valet only...eh, ok, it's the holidays.

After having a seat in an 'extra cozy' table and getting a chance to view the wine list, we were both excited to enjoy a great meal. Wine list was good, but lacked thoughtfulness. Maybe the distributor is overly pushy...

When viewing the menu, it became apparent that this was going to be a selection of grandma's best. I could've have done without super-sized selections and enjoyed the salad and soup combo for a fraction of the price. When ready for desert, we were so full that the idea of desert just seemed overwhelming. Maybe next time we should leave room for desert.

Don't ask to split the bill!

by GSPitts at Citysearch

Six of us recently visited for our first time to celebrate a birthday. I must say the food was wonderful. However, when it came time to pay the bill, even though we had told the waiter in advance who were couples, the waiter gave us one bill. We asked it to be split, and were told "our system can't". Since we had ordered different price items, we attempted to split ourselves, which was extremely embarrassing. Men just do not like doing that! My husband (who was having the birthday) became so upset I called the manager over. He proceeded to tell me we were the first group that had EVER asked the bill to be split - and expected me to believe him. There were several tables of women and women almost always ask bills to be split! Our bill was over $300 and he offered us a free $10 dessert. My husband had to leave the restaurant he was so irritated. There were few people left in the restaurant by this time and they could have offered to cancel out the bill and split it, but only offered a $10 dessert - UNBELIEVABLE! We love supporting small businesses, but this is the first that couldn't figure out how to split a bill and we won't be going back.

Dinner before Sade

Well Jason, it's been awhile since I've eaten at your restaurant, and boy, what a great experience.

I started off with the Tuna Appetizer on flat bread, and it was delicate and delicious, followed by the Trout, also excellent. The flavor was The menu selection was wonderful and I'll be back for more. I sat at the bar with Grace, and received excellent service. I used the Scoutmob coupon, which adds the tip - I didn't care for that.

Calculated Gratuity on Tax!!!

by atlanta joe at Citysearch

I have no complaints re: the food, although I found a lot of the dinner selections unapppealing and the carrrot cake dessert was small and overly sweet. What I do have a big problem with is that my Scoutmob coupon stated 18% gratuity may be added. That's fine for the pre discounted cost of the meal, but to include the tax in total for calculating the gratuity in never done and is cheezy!!!

Great Gluten Free Menu

by CoolRayzDad7 at Citysearch

Wisteria is a great choice for gluten free dinning. They have a great selection of gluten free options and everything is always fresh, well prepared and great tasting. We have eaten there 3 or 4 times and have always had a good experience. The noise level can be a bit harsh, especially on a busy Saturday night, but the place has a good vibe about it and everyone seems to be having a good time. Make sure you have a reservation if you are going on Friday or Saturday nights.
