Devoted to denim, this contemporary shopping spot carries hard-to-find brands like Ya-Ya, Suss, Red Engine, Anonymous, See By Chloe, Habitual and Hudson Jeans. Co-owners and sisters Jennifer, Julie and Jane Arrendale also stock the shelves with sweaters, baby tees, buttery-soft leathers, silk tops, sexy lingerie and ultrahip accessories that can be dressed up or paired with jeans for a casually chic look. Prices range from moderate to expensive.

Even though I love jeans of all kind... blue genes just doesn't suit me. The prices here are more expensive than the department stores! It's a bit odd, I'd rather spend my money at Bloomingdales or something rather than BG where the sales associates don't even pay attention to you...

Upon my first visit to Blue Genes I was greeted and fitted. Sizes are so different these days and the staff seemed to know exactly what would fit me perfectly. They were so helpful I felt like I had my own personal stylist. The prices weren't cheap but not overpriced, especially for items that you simply can't find anywhere else. I live in L.A otherwise I would shop there all the time - Blue Genes please open a store in L.A.!!! Also I just found out about there online shop - shopbluegenes - which is almost just as good as the real thing! 5 stars to Blue Genes!

Cons: Not in L.A.
