Jake's Toadhouse is now closed.. The Scene
The only independent jam-band venue in the Southeast, Jake's Toadhouse pays homage to followers of Widespread Panic and String Cheese Incident. The bar itself is dark, with a hodgepodge of sofas, tables and chairs arranged helter-skelter around the stage. Those in a psychedelic state of mind enjoy dorm room tapestries and mirrors, which hang along the walls. If you want to skip the music, the next room's five pool tables, dartboards and video games entertain even the most spaced-out patron.

The Draw
The crowd includes clove smokers, patchouli oil connoisseurs and college students as regulars, but they don't mind if others invade their turf. If you've ever followed the Dead or have a friend named Cornflower, this is your spot for the weekend.
