This maybe a chain joint, but the cuts of meat are great and it's a good optio for those ITPers not wanting to make a haul to Buckhead.

More like O'Charleys since they own them now....... This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, now it is just like O’Charleys. They have add several menu items and do them just OK instead of having the old items that made them. They only have smoked salmon on request and the quality is not there anymore. The steaks do not compare to Hal’s on old Ivy (#1), Bones (#2), New York Prime (#3), Mekendrick (#4), and even Little Alley’s Steaks in Roswell blows Stoney River out of the water for a great steak and/or seafood. They used to have the best steaks but they have changed unfortunately. My wife used to love their crab cake that was lump crab meat and now it is a cheap fried crab cake real healthy. I used to love the extensive wine list to accompany my steak or chop now the best wine on their list is Jordan cabernet. I am sad that the O’Charley’s chain has completely destroyed one of my favorite restaurants!

Disappointed. First, the atmosphere and service were excellent. The steak was good. Everything else...not so much. The New England Lobster Bisque tasted like tomato soup. It had small pieces of lobster, but there was no lobster taste. Lobster Bisque should taste like lobster not tomato soup. The PEI Mussels were just OK. Have had much better at Red Salt. The sauteed mushrooms tasted like they were cooked in liptons onion soup mix. The cake that they brought out for my birthday was stale and dried out. This was my first visit to Stoney River. It will be my last. When I go out for dinner, I expect to get something better than what I can make at home.

YUMMY TO MY TUMMY. THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY- YUMMY TO MY TUMMY!

My boyfriend and I have been eating here for 4 years. I am originally from Texas, so to find a great steak house can be a quest! This is far more one of the best places to dine for a great legendary steak, as the name speaks for itself. Whether you are casually dining or taking a love one out to dinner, this is the place. A great place for a first date! Enjoy!

Best Rolls Ever!. Had some great rolls at this restaurant. From what I can remember the service was fine. The atmosphere was fine. I wasn't really paying attention because my girlfriend and I came here with some family after she got ran into by some on Ga 400. So this dinner was occupied with different thoughts. The rolls were exceptional. My girlfriend had told me about the rolls a thousand times, but I didn't fully understand until I tried them 1st hand. They are little Krispy Kremes, as long as you put the cinnamon butter on top of them. The steak was fine. Not comparable to the steak I had a Chops, but still exceptional. They put a lot of seasoning on the steak, which kind of ruined it for me. What I am trying to say was that it was extra salty for no reason. The steak itself was tender and moist, so I don't understand why all the need for that seasoning, or what it felt like seasoning. I hate to complain about good food, but when comparing to my other experiences I am just trying to pick out a few things I noticed. The food was great and I recommend this restaurant to anyone, but it you want an EXCEPTIONAL steak and an AWESOME atmosphere go to Chops. This place deserves an 8 out of 10, and I hope you'll give it a try.

great steaks. Finally a real steak house outside of 285. Great steaks and service. You might have to wait 30 minutes or so, but it is well worth the wait. Might be the best rib-eye in Atlanta.

THE family favorite. The steaks are why we keep going back. Everyone we have taken there seems to really love the food. The wait staff and management are also top notch, helpful without being annoying. The only gripe we have ever had was with their mixed drinks, which was promptly corrected by the manager when he found out.

What is going on??. I have always had great experiences with this Restaurant and recommended it to my daughter and son-in-law as a special occasion place (they have a limited budget). I was very sad to hear from them that the service was poor and their order was wrong when delivered to the table. They spent nearly two hundred dollars and got the wrong salad, and wrong potato served to them. In addition to this they were not treated "special" in any way even though the told the server that they were celebrating a special occasion. I was upset to discover the service at this location had fallen this low - hope it was just a bad night and not a pattern...They said the food was still good, just not the kind of service expected at those prices.

Stoney River Is the Best. Like my husband says, "you can never go wrong at Stoney River" because the consistency is always the same. We dine here for special occassions and this is also the spot where we bring out of town guests. We always dine at the one in Duluth, Ga. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the wait staff are professional. I love this place.

Delicious Food - Old Cabin Feel. I recently stopped by here for a late dinner. Walking in the restaurant was instantly comfortable and cozy. It is mellow, comfortable, and the fireplace was very welcome on the chilly night. The food was superb, I had a horseradish crusted red snapper, and salmon appetizer. The snapper could have used more horseradish for my liking, but it was very good. For desert, the creme brule was a bit less than average, but not bad. The server was excellent though this night the kitchen was somewhat slow. Plan for a long, large meal.
