Great Hotel BUT...... It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Rub elbows with movers, shakers and rock stars at this timelessly elegant lounge.. The Scene
In a word, regal. You could be in the sitting room of some 19th-century robber baron's chateau. The bar is heavy on the gilt and brocade (it's the Ritz, after all), but small touches--like fresh lilies on each table--offset the opulence. Unlike the staid hotel-bar norm, this one has a pulse, packing in an eclectic mix of characters, from corporate jetsetters and touring musicians to singles on the prowl. Landing a prime spot at the marbleized bar may take work, especially on weekend nights.

The Draw
Locals actually outnumber the visitors, taking advantage of the bar's genuine, though expensive, singles scene. This is where you'd go to meet an Armani-clad power broker and order an $11 martini from a tuxedoed bartender. It also makes a nice setting for that special occasion: Steal a seat in front of the fireplace to propose to your sweetheart, or celebrate the big promotion with a cognac and a Cuban.
