Pennywise Editorial Review
In Short
During the '90s alt-rock boom, Pennywise rolled out its super-catchy, politically minded guitar punk via a demanding touring schedule and six studio albums. At the band's peak, selling nearly a quarter-million records, bassist Jason Thirsk committed suicide. The band soldiered on and released "Full Circle" (Epitaph) in 1997. Live, Pennywise delivers songs like "F**k Authority" and "Unknown Road" with a tight rhythm section, and there are plenty of chances to sing-along rebelliously with frontman Jim Lindberg.
