The Scene
The cozy English pub interior--tartan carpets and dark wood-paneled walls--makes Hand in Hand appealing on a cold winter's night. But cozy becomes downright cramped on weekends, when the place gets packed with the Va-Hi bar crawl crowd. The throng has more room to stretch during the warmer months, when the brick patio--one of the best in the neighborhood--is open. The pub has its share of the typical Va-Hi traffic: chatty, upwardly mobile 20- and 30-somethings. Hear a British accent in the crowd? Hand in Hand may not be entirely authentic, but it's as close as you get in Atlanta.
The Draw
Beer is the "dish" of choice. British staples like bangers and mash, Indian-spiced chips (fries), Hong Kong-style chicken wings and tomato mop all go down nicely with that pint of Harp or Boddington's. A chicken sandwich, grilled salmon and several burgers help domesticate the menu.

The laid-back atmophere is something that is very appealing about this place - I can go wearing a t-shirt and jeans and still look dressed up - awesome place to hangout on Fridays - very busy and good drink menu

I recently went to Hand and Hand, after running a tab with the bar a few days later a charge was shown on my card for more than the original amount. The strange part about htis is the fact that I had PAID IN CASH, after speaking with the bar, corporate and the District Manager nothing has been done about this matter, since that point. I suggest that if you do attend that you make sure not to run a tab with ur card if you plan on paying with cash, to prevent any problems in the future.
