“Not only was menu was also lacking in fresh, healthy options, it was also devoid of breakfast standards -- no pancakes, no eggs benedict.”

“Heavy food dripping in butter and oil, horrible rude service”

Best Bacon. I rate my breakfast spots by how good the bacon is - it is really very good here.
Very Disappointed. Went for lunch yesterday (Sunday). We were seated after 15 minutes. All of the staff were frazzled and had zero customer service. The food took 40 minutes to arrive. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was a bowl of plain cheese grits, six shrimp and two sausage patties on the side. Talk about lazy! My husband's bacon was all fat and not cooked through, served with a dry biscuit. The total for four of us was a $60 bad breakfast. Will not return. Also, it was HOT with floor fans everywhere and we left there smelling like a greasy spoon.
Bacon ummm!. Always a great breakfast! I could eat the Kirkwood everyday for breakfast.
Very Good. I went with my girlfriend this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I'm very tough on food but sometimes there is nothing better than some homegrown brunch. Omelette for her, panini for me..excellent. Unlike the other reviewers, our service was extremely fast and cordial--it was one-thirty--so maybe the lull in diners had something to do with that. If they tell you the mac & cheese isn't ready, wait for it. Sooooooo good. And this comes from a Mississippi boy.
Wonderful find. I'm very impressed with Sun in my Belly. The chef's choices on food pairings, spices, stuffings, and other design elements mean that every dish is unique. Further, you can grab most items to-go or have them reheated on the premises. My wife and I have also enjoyed the breakfast selections on Saturday mornings.
Tasty Brunch. I love this place for brunch. They do something with the eggs which makes them extra yummy. Their menu is super creative, borderline gourmet. They have great coffee as well- bonus. The service is suuuuppppeeerrr slow; so make sure you have 2 hours to spare.
Great Brunch, Fresh Ingredients, Excellent Specials. My husband and I have been to Sun in my Belly many times and have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and obviously made with fresh ingredients. The omelette special is ALWAYS fabulous as is the Kirkwood breakfast, and the oh so delicious scrambled egg pressed panini with hook cheddar. I did get the french toast once, and it was OK. I like a more traditional french toast. Another bonus...out of the many times we've been (on Saturday or Sunday mornings) we've only had to wait once...for about 5 minutes. I took away one star because there is one server who always seems like he just woke up, and is a bit slow. Other than that, this place is great!
Great food. Slow disorganized service.. As would be expected from a catering company running a restaurant, the food is inventive and consistently good; but the service is chaotic and slow. There appears to be no established efficient service protocol in seating guests or taking orders. Instead there is a loose group of wait staff that seem to be all over the place. Bottom line. A great place to go if you're not starving.
Great spot for breakfast!. My wife and I have been exploring the best breakfast spots in and around Atlanta. Sun In My Belly had been recommended, so we decided to go check it out. We certainly weren't disappointed. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the decor inside, the food and the service were tremendous. The stuffed Challah french toast, piled high with fresh fruit almost needed no syrup, and the Kirkwood breakfast was a unique, savory home run. The menu for lunch and supper looks wonderful, too, but we felt that it was well worth the drive from Douglasville to experience the culinary artistry we found at Sun In My Belly.
Sun in my Belly = YUM IN MY BELLY. I hired sun my belly for a birthday party. The staff was great and the food was pretty amazing. Every thing went off with out a hitch! All my guest's had a FAB time. Thanks guys
