Can I Get a Hungry Hippo for $300, Please...?. This week, I had the opportunity to visit the zoo and I'm still bothered by the condition of the animals. The lion is supposed to be the King of the Zoo, however, he looked more like a big, hungry housecat from the neighborhood. His bones and ribs could be seen through his coat. The pandas were filthy and they, too, looked exhausted and underfed. The alligator and turtles had barely any water in their habitat and were covered in dry mud, algae and pollen. No, I'm not a zookeeper, however, I have done enough research to know that something wasn't right with the animals at Zoo Atlanta. Even my students continued asking what was wrong with the animals. I'd just told my family, the day before, that we'd get annual passes for the zoo. However, after visiting with the school, we'd probably be better off visiting the aquarium or the neighborhood lake.

The Zookeeper. I recently moved to Atlanta and my first stop was Zoo Atlanta. I am so happy I took time out to visit the animals and made it a fun day!

Everyone must take a day off from work, home, etc and just enjoy the animals that will definitely put a smile on your face.

Glad We Have Zoo Atlanta. We are really glad we became a Zoo Atlanta member years ago. It's a great activity for our 6 year son on the weekends. He never gets tired of seeing the animals. I would also strongly encourage the membership, especially if you live in the area. Having the membership also allows us to take additonal family, friends or play date buddies. We also love the Zoo's summer camp. It's a little pricey but again our son always enjoys that week or two interacting with the animals and the Zoo Camp Team. Because we are close, we often will go over during the spring and summer and just play on the playground and ride the train.

YAY!. It becomes more fun every year! The pandas are the cutest ever and I love how involved they encourage Atlanta to be in preserving wildlife :)

Great Zoo. It's always a treat to visit the Atlanta Zoo. My 4 year old would rather visit the zoo than eat ice cream for breakfast.

zoo. The Atlanta Zoo is a great place to go. It is good for children of ages 12& under. You get to see many unique animals that you may not see just anywhere. So try it!!!!!

A little overpriced. The Zoo is pretty nice...variety of different animals and themes. However I thought that it was a little pricey for children. I took my 3yr old son and they charged me like 12 bucks. Gee thanx for making me want a return visit.

Not like the Bronz Zoo. It's kind of difficult to imagine a zoo in a city like Atlanta for me, but my friend wanted to check this place out so I went along. had a ok time...nothing like the zoo in ny...

Lions and Tigers and Bears. What an incredible place to visit and see many of the wild animals that are usually only found on T.V. My favorite attraction is the panda bear. This is perhaps, one of the rarest of all animals at the zoo (a must see). If you can handle the smell while walking around it's a great place for kids and any pure animal lover.
