“The service was alright - our server was very nice even though we had to ask for the gravy that was supposed to come with the mash potatoes and even after we had to ask for it, it took a long time for it to get to us.”

Great barbecue with all the fixings. Fun to watch the roasts cooking in the pit while you wait to be seated. The smell is heavenly! Great sweet tea, too!
This place is awesome, the food is good and the staff is nice. Sometimes there is a wait on the weekends, but it is worth it!
great sauce. Very good BBQ! They have different kinds of sauce that you can choose from. I love the ranch style display.
Not what it used to be.
Williamson's used to be one of the better Que joints in the north metro, and they're still pretty good. However since they started opening mulitple locations and selling sauce in grocery stores the value isn't as good as it once was. Smaller portions for the dollar and the quality has slipped a notch.
Still an okay choice, but there are better BBQ joints nearby now.
Local Legends of Open Pit 'Cue. This large, wooden-planked pit house literally rose from the ashes (an early 90's fire nearly closed the doors forever) to become nearly as recognizable of a landmark as its neighbor the "Big Chicken". The sweet, tangy sauce that has become the hallmark of the brothers Williamson is featured early and often. Chopped pork plates with rich brunswick stew and creamy mac and cheese is served right along grilled half chickens with corn on the cob. Fried pickles are a great way to get things started while you look around to notice tons of antique license plates, letters of congratulation from plenty of conservative politicos, and other southern accoutrements. The freshest food will be found during the predictably busier times - so avoid the late tuesday lunches and you'll be fine.
Great Food and Service - First time visitor. Had a great time wtih co-workers as a first time visitor. Will be sure to go back.
Takes so good makes you wanna slap your mama. We were recommended by many people as a place to not pass up on a trip out to Georgia. Great bbq, welcomed by a cow's head and open bbq. As the doors open, there is a best of citysearch plaque and as you dig in you will soon know why. I got the combo with ribs, pulled pork, pulled beef, grilled chicken, texas toast, and baked beans. Try the bbq sauce on the table, left feeling full but accomplished!
Really Good BBQ!. What is there to say… BEST BBQ IN TOWN!!! Better yet Best BBQ in the STATE!!! I have been a loyal patron for many years and the BBQ has only gotten better!
