I'm OVER HJ Airport!. Let's face it, this review is not really gonna change this airport, but I'm just tired of the people who work at the airport. I fly a lot for work and most other airports, people are friendly, and once I fly back in here, the complete indifference that most airport employees have here is amazing, they just don't care. I just needed to vent a little, that's all

One of the busiest airports in the world finds time to provide food, shopping, and drinks for all who come.. In Short
Even if you've never been to Atlanta, you've probably been to Hartsfield-Jackson. Renamed in 2003 (the airport honors two influential Atlanta mayors), it's home to Delta and AirTran--and seemingly endless delays. Luckily, it's easy to navigate. Two terminals, North and South, lead to an international concourse (E) and five domestic concourses (T, A, B, C, D). A people mover, which comes about every two minutes, connects the terminals to the concourses. For the business traveler, the airport provides an executive conference center, which boasts multiple meeting rooms, video-conferencing abilities and guest lounges. If you're hungry, hit Paschal's Southern Cuisine (Atrium and Concourse A) or the Brews Blues Bar (Concourse T) for some local flavor and adult beverages. The atrium has a plenty of retail stores and restaurant options.

Now THIS is an airport!. I imagine the reason Hartsfield often surpasses Chicago is that it's so darned efficient. The concourse trains, the moving walkways, the food vendors...all reliable, friendly and fast. Yes, you'll pay $19.99 for a candy bar and blow a whole paycheck on a magazine and post card at the gift shops, but that's life in the big city.

Better than most. If you fly Delta, this is your paradise - easy to get through ticketing, to gates, and to airport clubs. Obviously this is an airport designed for frequent fliers with the Laptop Lane (T-1 Internet access), multitude of mall shops, and

Delta has also made this a showcase for "how to keep customers INFORMED" - no other airport has the displays that let you know exactly where you are on a standby or upgrade list.

And last of all - Delta has found a way to keep rates to their hub affordable - unlike New York <> Chicago, New York <> Dallas and New York <> California where you can pay upwards of $600 each way without a Saturday stay.

The airport advice I know. Hartsfield is one of the world's busiest airports, so any little navigation tip helps. Here are mine. It takes just one trip to this airport for travelers to realize that the "people mover" is not just a "lazy people mover." My first flight here was out of Concourse D and I decided to walk it almost missed my flight. If you're hurting for time, jump on. Life is also made easier by taking MARTA instead of driving if possible. It stops short of dropping you off at ticketing. And if you're flying Delta, you're in luck. There's a ticketing counter just inside the MARTA station that's generally short on lines.
