Editorial Review for Lullwater Conservation Park – by Steve Merrill and Jake Sussman
Features
A wide path near the train tracks at Clifton Road leads into this lightly visited oasis on Emory's concrete campus. Follow the path through thick groves of trees and abundant ivy outcroppings and then on to a large pond and, finally, to the university president's English Tudor mansion.
The Experience
The paved path is perfect for leisurely biking, rollerblading or jogging. There's less, but enough, room for Frisbees and footballs. Children love Lullwater Pond's thriving, highly visible duck and white swan population. For relaxation, the park is better than your backyard. The calming sounds of wildlife make this a rural escape in the midst of Atlanta's bustle. Bring a good book and relax.
