Editorial Review for Grant Park – by Steve Merrill
The Scene
Shady ravines, cozy glens and abundant small hills are the big attractions here. More low-key than Piedmont Park, Grant Park offers plenty of weekday serenity; weekend crowds impinge on personal space. Gazebos and open pavilions provide respite from exercise and a great place to barbecue. Zoo Atlanta and the adjacent Cyclorama occupy the southern half of the park.
The Draw
Sports options include basketball, baseball, soccer and tennis. Three public pools quash the heat of summer. Open space for Frisbees and kites abounds.

Besides the fact that the zoo and the cyclorama are located in Grant Par, the park has a lot to offer. It has lots of beautiful trees and grassy hills. Hawks and other birds are occasionally seen in the park. There are swing sets and a playground for kids. There are trails to walk, bike, roller blade and walk your dog. There is also plenty of parking.
Pros: Good parking, Beautiful scenery, Peaceful
