This magnificent 1920s Tudor-style mansion is the former home of Charles H. Candler, oldest son of Coca-Cola founder Asa Candler. The beautifully landscaped grounds of this gracious old estate spark its purpose today: nurturing talent and stirring creativity.

The Draw
Grand ballrooms that once reverberated with socialite gaiety now hum with intown's eclectic mix of muse-seekers, pursuing a variety of artistic disciplines: painting, dance, drama, music, photography, pottery, handloom weaving, writing and others. One of Callanwolde's most outstanding programs is the choral training offered to children 8-18. Members of the highly acclaimed Atlanta Young Singers of Callanwolde participate in national and international concert tours.

Nice Setting for Learning Something New. Classes arent cheap here, but the money is well spent. Callanwolde offers a wide range of classesTai Chi, guitar, pottery, landscape designin a serene setting thats conducive to creativity. Some photography classes dont include darkroom use, so if that's important to you, look closely.
