5 to Try: Martinis
Martinis have traveled a long way from the mod-Bond days of vermouth and anti-stirring. From the classic martini in the Highland Tap cellar to a refreshing grapefruit-and-rosewater martini on the patio at Café di Sol, here's our call on the best martinis in Atlanta.

Where the Wild Things Are
Friendly beast aside, sometimes you just need to let loose a little bit. And, when you’re looking to blow off some steam, the worst thing you can ask for is a room full of dullards. So put on your party hat, people. From the freak show that is the Clermont Lounge to the tropical popped-collar crowd at Flip Flops, here's our guide for getting wild.
Best of Citysearch: Spa & Beauty
You’re looking good, Atlanta. No, really. Who cuts your hair? Who makes your skin look so rosy? Who massages away your tension and keeps you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed? In a city known for such accolades as Worst Traffic on the Planet, we could all use a little pamperin, and we want your take. From now until Nov. 10, spend a few minutes nominating spas, salons and other beauty business for our Best of Citysearch polls. To get you started, here are a few of my favorite spots to unplug.
Top 10 Atlanta Experiences
While it’s easy to name the nautical tourist trap (a.k.a. the Aquarium) as a must-do Atlanta experience, we are laying out what the locals like to do instead, because not a lot of us are hittin’ Underground Atlanta on a weekly basis. From the "burger nazi" known as Miss Ann to the World of Coke (left), here are our top 10 local experiences.
Atlanta Thanksgiving Planner 2009
We are already a pretty big fan of eating, football and good company, so you can imagine that Thanksgiving (a holiday that openly celebrates all three!) sits pretty high a top our list. No matter if you’re planning on treating your significant other to a fancy meal or looking for a unique side or dessert to bring to the family get together, our calls for the best turkey day dining options and gourmet-to-go.
Atlanta Sports Bars: 9 Spots to Watch the Game
The fall is arguably the best time a year for sports-watching. Football dominates Thursday though Monday nights, baseball playoffs last through October and basketball season begins. (And, of course, there’s “futbol,” too, for you Euro-sports fanatics and compulsive gamblers.) This means, however, that it’s imperative to find a good watering hole that can accommodate sports-viewing and fan-gathering. Below are our picks for Atlanta's best sports bars.
Jason's Killer Burger Fave's!
Just the great quality basic ingredients for a great Burger. No flipped out Designer Chef Burgers here. From trying to get to H&F, before they sell out, to having some good Rock 'N Roll with the Burger at The Earl, or George's Blue Cheese Burger, and even a chain, Five Guys, covered in fresh Cajun Fries, served in a sack. And now a newcomer, Grindhouse Killer Burger's at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market.
Sunday Meal Deals
We aren’t sure which high-profile chef decided Sundays would be the time to unload ridiculous dining deals at their fancy digs but, frankly, we don’t care. These five hot spots turned Sunday from a lets-stay-at-home-and-update-Facebook snoozer into a night that has our city’s best restaurants consistently packed with gourmands. We suggest you follow suit.

Atlanta's Best Autumn Microbrews
Yes, we know Oktoberfest ended on October 4th, but we think fall's seasonal beers should really be celebrated through December. (Especially since crisp weather doesn’t hit Atlanta until October, anyway.) We find no better way to enjoy a sparkling autumn afternoon than with a hand-crafted beer, preferably on a patio. From the Max Pumpkin Wit at Max Lager’s to a chocolate beer from A.B.C., here's our call on the best seasonal brews, churned up right here in Atlanta.
