Fellini's Pizza
Read Reviews2809 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305 (map)
Kids can have their own slice of plain cheese or pepperoni. Parents can take on the more sophisticated spinach and mushroom. Kids love eating outside on the patio with fountains to look at and Peachtree Street to admire. Mom and Dad enjoy not sitting in traffic and enjoying a cold pitcher of beer. Cheap prices and a relaxed atmosphere make this a young family no-brainer.

Flying Biscuit Midtown
Read Reviews1001 Piedmont Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 (map)
Way to make food sound and taste better, Flying Biscuit. The fluffy, misshapen biscuits are slightly sweet and loved by all, a direct reflection of the colorful, whimsical atmosphere. Plus breakfast is served all day. (Pancakes at night? Oh boy!) When bringing youngsters, it's best to get there early on the weekends to avoid the big crowds and waiting list.

Johnny Rockets
Read Reviews3500 Peachtree Rd NE Ste G3, Atlanta, GA 30326 (map)
Playing make-believe never gets old when you're a kid, so pretending to dine in a different decade fits in perfectly! Plus, the straw dispensers, jukebox and sock-hop attire cement the time-machine vibe. Sandwiches (burgers, grilled cheese) come wrapped in paper jackets to prevent the typical mess and shakes get shared movie-style. Adults and kids win at this game.

The Varsity
Read Reviews61 North Ave., Atlanta, GA 30308 (map)
Top five reasons kids love chowing at the V: 1. People shout when you order. 2. They have funny names for regular food like "naked dog" or "bag-o-rags." 3. There is not only ice cream but an orange frosty called an "FO." 4. There are car hops like they had in "American Graffiti." 5. If you ask nicely, the folks will give you your own Varsity hat.

Yoforia
Read Reviews1402 N Highland Ave NE Ste 9, Atlanta, GA 30306 (map)
Nothing will please kids more than eating fro-yo in a place that looks like the inside of a spaceship. Those letting the kids have free rein of the ordering system can let them top their concoction with sugary cereals like Cap'n Crunch or Fruity Pebbles. Meanwhile, for those who don't want their tykes making the jump to light speed, fresh fruit is also available.

Cabbagetown Market and Grill
Read Reviews198 Carroll St Se, Atlanta, GA 30312 (map)
Adults can appreciate the farm-to-table philosophy and grass-fed beef burgers, but for kids, this will be like the candy store where Charlie found the golden ticket. Popsicles, old Coke machines, Chupa Chup suckers and snappy hot dogs make the Cabbagetown Market like a drug store from the 50s sent forward in time.

The King of Pops
Read Reviews1079 North Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307 (map)
The risk you take here is setting the bar too high for your tike. Because once he or she thinks this is what all popsicles are supposed to taste like, the ol’ frozen, mass-produced grocery store jobs just aren’t going to cut it. However, we think it’s worth the risk.
-
Doc Chey's Noodle House
Read Reviews1424 N Highland Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306 (map)
While any (and every) aspect of Buford Highway might scare the hell out of little Sally, it’s still good to introduce the youngins’ to international cuisine. For all things Asian, we give you Doc Chey’s. Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese staples all appear on the menu and are presented in a way that makes eating seem adventurous.
-
The Original El Taco
Read Reviews1186 N Highland Ave, Atlanta, GA 30306 (map)
El Taco is like a way cooler version of all the Mexican restaurants that we grew up going to. There’s a prize wheel and frozen mojitos for parents, Mexican pizza and fried chicken tacos for kids. The atmosphere is family-friendly during early dinner hours and caters to singletons afterwards. Pick your poison.

Chick-Fil-A
Write a Review1901 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 (map)
One restaurant that both kids and parents can agree on, in terms of total awesomeness, is Chick-Fil-A. And the only way to improve things for both parties is by going to a location that also has those indoor playgrounds. Fun for kids, lets the adults eat in peace, everyone wins.
