Just because Thanksgiving (everyone's favorite time for gourmet-to-go!) is months away, doesn't mean you can't take full advantage of to-go shops that dish the good stuff. Not every night is built for hitting the town, or hitting the market for a little home-cooked action, so we've come up with spots like Muss and Turners, who supply not only great meals-in-a-bag, but great wines, cheeses and desserts as well.
Let's face it, 90% of us can't hit the upper-echelon of Atlanta dining every night of the week, or hell one night of every month. Hit super-high-end Southern spot, Restaurant Eugene on Sunday nights for their traditional Sunday supper for $30 a person, plus more ideas.
Atlanta is filled with plenty of crazy-talented folks, but sometimes we forget that some of our restaurants and bars get some love on a national scale. Did you know that we've got an Iron Chef-winning restaurateur living in Inman Park? Or that we have a burger that the Wall Street Journal named the "Best Burger in the US?" Hit Manuel's Tavern, one of Esquire's top 50 Bars in the country, plus more accolades below.
Who knew about the $5 car wash special at Cactus, the self-serve $3 keg beer at Elliott Street Deli and Pub, or even turning in your church bulletin for a free Chick Fil A chicken sandwich? Some secrets we like to keep to ourselves (like the secret parking lot at the Variety Playhouse) and some, like the $5 steak sandwiches at Morton's, we can't help but spill to you.
