Where to Eat and Drink

259 Peters St, Atlanta, GA 30313 (map)

Get ready for some kick-ass pizza and super-loud tunes. This night-timing joint feels like the type of place where Outkast would stop in for a slice. Go artist-style on the booze side of things and wash down your slice with a PBR tallboy.

  2. 2 4 Star Rating: Recommended No Mas! Cantina
    Read Reviews

180 Walker St, Atlanta, GA 30313 (map)

This spacious Castleberry cantina and tequila bar mixes Mexican flavors with festive, colorful decor that you can take home. The food ranges from simple (fish tacos) to more on the gourmet side of things, (sugarcane-skewered shrimp on a masa cake) making it easy to please.

  3. 3 4.5 Star Rating: Recommended Baltimore Crab & Seafood/Pearl Lounge

253 Peters Street, Atlanta, GA 30313 (map)

This delicious little hole-in-the-wall does some of the best fried seafood in Atlanta, though it's tough to spot the joint. With only a few tables it's mostly for take-out, though once night hits the back lounge turns into one of the 'hoods more happening spots for cocktailing.

  4. 4 Elliott Street Deli and Pub

51 Elliott Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30313 (map)

Boasting a solid beer list and stout sandwiches this Castleberry small-spot is a hip, hidden find. Plus any bar that has a self-serve IPA keg, for only $3 a cup, is tough to not like. Though it is one of Atlanta's smallest bars, it's also one of the best.

  5. 5 4 Star Rating: Recommended 255 Tapas Lounge
    Read Reviews

255 Peters St, Atlanta, GA 30313 (map)

This slick addition to the bustling Peters Street scene might put "tapas" in the title, but this is less-Latin-bistro and more restaurant-turned-lounge. The space is beautifully indicative of the neighborhood, with an open store front, brick encasing and mini-tiered levels for social optimization. Rock the mini burgers, all for under $10 to get full bang for your buck.
