What the hell happened to the bars in Buckhead? What was once the pulse of our city has turned into a failed shopping district. While the nightlife might have gone the way of velvet ropes and dudes in shiny shirts, you can still get into trouble if you know where to go. From college co-eds to VIP bottle service (at Tongue and Groove, pictured) we give you five Buckhead bars where you can find all varieties of mischief in the 30305.

A college bar (actually three bars in one!) right on Peachtree. This dive caters to the needs of today's youth: sex, Jager, and rock n? roll. There's plenty of cheap alcohol for this crowd of co-eds and frat boys. Drink enough and tell them your parents are out of town for the weekend. You're golden.
This old mover-and-shaker from the original Buckhead triangle has been razed to make way for the Rodeo Drive of the South. Relocated to the Lindbergh section, it's still swank, sexy, and `spensive. There's bottle service for the VIP crowd, but just pay the cover--you can still stare (and creep out) the Buckhead high-maintenance beauties in high heels and higher skirts.
Get weird and shake your rump with old people. Old and horny, I might add. This Atlanta treasure has been going on since your mom and dad were still together ? and still getting it on. Pony up to the bar (if it's not too crowded), bounce your head to some Diana Ross and hit on some diamond-toting divorcees in this Atlanta cougar den of champions.
Six Flags for grownups. A giant complex where you can easily get confused, get lost and get hammered. There are so many bars, nooks and patios at this place--drink enough to fall down and maybe they'll tell you to ?get lost.? Your attorney can thank them in the morning.
Dirty, unkempt, and sweaty: everything Buckhead is not. This dive bar on Roswell Road is a good beer-swilling Buckhead bar with a great patio. Weasel yourself into the hard-to-find back room and to drink enough to forget you're still in Buckhead.
